Kadalundi, a village in Kerala, recently won the National award for the best responsible tourism village. Read in Roundglass Sustain about the Kadalundi-Vallikunnu Community Reserve, the first Indian riverfront community reserve.
The recognition highlighted the incredible efforts of the local community in preserving their natural habitat while promoting sustainable tourism practices.
This article was co-authored with Pooja Pawar, after her visit to my home, and subsequently the nearby community reserve. Vijesh Vallikkunnu provided stunning photographs from Kadalundi, from his long-term observations.
